Mission

We are excited to welcome a dedicated Supply Chain Intern to our Montreal team.
This six-month internship offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of
supply chain management within the sustainable food industry.
The ideal candidate is a passionate learner with a keen interest in logistics, procurement, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Replenishment and Planning:

Assist in monitoring stock levels and generating replenishment orders based on demand forecasts.
Collaborate with the team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Participate in demand planning meetings to align replenishment efforts with sales projections.
Utilize planning software and tools to analyse historical data and make data-driven replenishment decisions.

Assist in Inventory Management:

Contribute to the development of efficient inventory control policies and procedures.
Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
Monitor and report on key inventory performance metrics, such as turnover rates and carrying costs.
Support efforts to implement sustainable practices in inventory management and storage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address root causes of inventory discrepancies.

Provide Logistics Support:

Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer delivery expectations.
Participate in selecting and evaluating transportation providers for efficiency and sustainability.
Support efforts to optimize warehouse layout and storage configurations for efficient operations.
Assist in managing customs documentation and compliance with international shipping regulations.
Contribute to the implementation of eco-friendly logistics solutions to reduce environmental impact.

Contribute to Process Optimization:

Actively engage in process improvement projects to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Analyze current processes and identify areas for automation or technological integration.
Assist in conducting time-motion studies and process mapping to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Collaborate with the team to implement best practices in supply chain operations.
Support efforts to standardize processes and documentation for scalability.

Learn and Collaborate:

Engage with team members to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain management.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to share insights and contribute to decision-making.
Take part in training sessions and workshops to develop skills in supply chain technologies and tools.
Actively seek opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration with colleagues.
Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or master’s program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
A genuine passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to a more eco-conscious world.

Duration:

6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business
needs.
