Recipe - Cricket protein garlic bread

Who doesn't love garlic bread? Follow our recipe below for a healthier and protein-rich version!

Ingredients

Olive oil mix

  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Protein bread

  • 2 eggs white
  • 42 g pea protein
  • 8 g Naak cricket powder
  • 1 tablespoon whole psyllium husks
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, diluted in hot water

Instructions

  1. Mix the egg whites, pea protein, cricket powder, and psyllium husks until smooth
  2. Add the baking powder mixture and mix in. Let the dough rest for approx. 10 minutes
  3. Preheat the oven at 325F
  4. Evenly spread out the dough over parchment paper in an oven dish
  5. Cook for 16-18 minutes, or until the bread is firm
  6. Remove the bread from the oven and turn the grill on
  7. Chop the garlic in a bowl
  8. Add olive oil, herbs, chilli, salt and pepper, and mix well
  9. Cut the bread into slices and brush with the olive oil mixture
  10. Grill for 1-2 minutes
